The Lakers lost Anthony Davis just 8 minutes into the game against the Cavaliers as he had to leave the court due to a flu-like symptoms.

While the game remained close for the most part, Cleveland rallied in the fourth quarter to take the win (116-102). After the game Lakers head coach Darvin Ham talked about Davis’ situation.

“Yeah, and it progressively got worse,” Ham said when asked if Davis felt bad before the game. “His temperature went over 100, I believe it was 101 and some change. He said he was going to give it a go, which he did, but just felt too weak, just kind of drained, dehydrated a little bit.

“It’s that time of the season in terms of winter time, weather change, change in climate coming from L.A. and going to all of these different places. We dealt with it earlier in the year. He experienced it today. Again, it’s set in earlier today and it sort of worsened as the day went on.”
