After taking down the Nets at home, the 76ers lost on the road against the Hornets (101-107). Philadelphia was still without its top three players in Joel Embiid, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey.

Shake Milton led the Sixers in scoring with 22 points, followed by De’Anthony Melton (20) and Tobias Harris (19). For Charlotte the top performer was Terry Rozier who scored 22 points.

Despite the loss, Philadelphia’s head coach Doc Rivers was satisfied with what he saw from his team. “I thought we played great,” he said, via Sam DiGiovanni of ClutchPoints. “Honestly, I thought we ran out of gas. I didn’t see a negative thing in this game that we can say. Honest to God, I thought we played hard.

“First quarter, we had 33 points and then from that point on, we miss a lot of makeable shots, which you will live with. I thought our energy was fantastic. We played a team that’s been off for three days. Georges couldn’t make any shots tonight. Tobias started out great, [then] couldn’t make any shots. I thought De’Anthony Melton was literally on fumes…I told our team I was very happy. I don’t wanna lose a game but I loved how we played.”

Following this loss the 76ers are 9-9 and occupy the 9th place in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, the Hornets improved to 5-14 and are 15th in the East.
