Brandon Miller praised the Charlotte Hornets’ focus on details after Monday’s 130-93 rout of the Philadelphia 76ers at Spectrum Center. “We don’t really go into games with, you know, the mindset of, you know, we’ve lost them in the past… locking in on the small details… that gave us this win tonight,” Miller said.
Miller led all scorers with 30 points, shooting 9-for-11 from the field, while adding six 3-pointers and eight rebounds in just 27 minutes. He credited his teammates for fostering confidence: “My teammates, you know, they’ve been boosting my confidence every night… they still have my back.”
The Hornets’ early pace set the tone, with Charlotte holding a 28-22 edge after the first quarter. Miller highlighted the team’s focus on transition buckets: “We’ve been preaching the pace… getting them tired through the first half of the game… helps us a lot toward the fourth quarter.”
LaMelo Ball’s playmaking also created opportunities for Miller and the Hornets’ offense. “As him being our leader, our head of the snake, it goes a long way for us and the young core,” Miller said, referencing Ball’s 11 points and eight assists.
Charlotte dominated after the first quarter, outscoring Philadelphia 81-37 over the next two periods. All five starters finished in double figures, reflecting balanced scoring, while Ryan Kalkbrenner added 13 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
Miller emphasized executing to the team’s strengths: “Just us playing to our strengths… sticking to our MIGs and shifts… as long as we keep that mindset and have our helpers help, we’ll be great.”
Philadelphia struggled offensively, shooting 39 percent overall and 30 percent from three. Tyrese Maxey was limited to six points on 3-for-12 shooting, while Kelly Oubre Jr. led the visitors with 17 points.
The Hornets improved to 19-28, earning their first three-game winning streak of the 2025-26 season, while the 76ers fell to 24-21, remaining sixth in the Eastern Conference. Charlotte will travel to Memphis on Wednesday, and Philadelphia hosts the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.
