Superstar big man Joel Embiid will miss back-to-back games for the Philadelphia 76ers, per the team’s release.

Embiid has a left mid-foot strain and will be absent on the Sixers’ marquee matchup vs. Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday and Charlotte Hornets the following day.

The franchise star sustained the injury last week against the Minnesota Timberwolves when he was accidentally tripped over teammate Georges Niang and has fallen. His absence will only add a much bigger hole on the club with James Harden (knee) and Tyrese Maxey (foot) also out.

The Cameroonian center is averaging 32.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.8 blocks while shooting 52.1% from the field in 12 games.
