The season opener against the Lakers will be a special night for the Warriors. The 2022 NBA champions will get their rings in front of a home crowd.

But the visitors have other plans. Lakers’ superstar Anthony Davis is looking forward to spoiling the event by claiming a road win. Next game for the purple and gold will be against the Clippers.

“Our first two games are against two title contenders,” Davis said. “So, it’s always good to spoil a ring night. So our mindset is going up and starting this season with a couple Ws.”

For the Dubs Andre Iguodala is out with left hip injury management while Patrick Baldwin Jr. is listed as questionable with right thumb sprain.

Ahead of tonight’s game, the Warriors are considered favorites amongst bookmakers, with NBA lines site Betway pricing Golden State at 1.40 to beat the Lakers. The NBA odds for Los Angeles to win this game are at 3.20.
