The Minnesota Timberwolves intend to exercise their 2023-24 team options on Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels, sources told Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

Edwards will earn a guaranteed salary of $13,534,817 in the said year, while McDaniels will gain $3,901,399.

The 2020 top pick in Edwards has been a rising star for Minnesota, improving his numbers from last season upon averaging 21.3 points, 4.8 boards, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals on .441/.357/.786 shooting splits in 72 games played (34.3 MPG).

Meanwhile, the defensive-minded wing in McDaniels is a solid contributor of his own, recording 9.2 markers, 4.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks last season.

Both promising players are set to enter their third year in the league and are expected to produce heavily for the title-contending T-Wolves.
