Charlotte Hornets President of Basketball Operations & General Manager Mitch Kupchak announced today that the team had signed free agent guard LiAngelo Ball. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ball, a native of Chino Hills, Calif., appeared in 36 games (six starts) last season for the Greensboro Swarm, averaging 5.6 points (45.7 FG%, 40.2 3P%, 60.0 FT%) and 1.4 rebounds in 13.4 minutes per game.

In eight G League Showcase games, Ball led all players in 3-point percentage (53.6), connecting on 15 of his 28 attempts from behind the arc.

Ball played three games for the Hornets in the 2022 Summer League, averaging 6.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game. In five appearances for the Hornets in the 2021 Summer League, Ball posted 9.6 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 17.4 minutes per game.

In 2017-18, Ball appeared in 14 games (six starts) for Vytautas Prienu in Lithuania, averaging 12.6 points (42.5 FG%, 41.5 3P%, 63.3 FT%) and 2.9 rebounds in 21.7 minutes per game.

Ball joins his brother, LaMelo, on the Charlotte Hornets Training Camp Roster. The Hornets roster now stands at 20.
