Euroleague Basketball has announced that it has commenced pre-registering clubs for the 2015-16 Turkish Airlines Euroleague and Eurocup competitions. Pre-registration is open to all European clubs wishing to be considered for one or both competitions.

Each club is asked to submit basic information about its organizational structure, arena and financial statements as well as its ability to meet the minimum requirements for the competition. The pre-registration documents have been circulated to all domestic leagues that currently send clubs to Euroleague Basketball competitions.

The Euroleague Basketball competition system for the 2015-16 will continue to feature 24 clubs in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season and 36 clubs in the Eurocup Regular Season, whilst the deadline for submitting pre-registration documents is May 15, 2015.

Euroleague Basketball staff and the Financial Control Commission will review the clubs’ documentation, registering those clubs that subsequently qualify for each competition according to the Bylaws. After this the ECA Shareholders Executive Board, at its June meeting, will propose candidates for the wild-card vacancies in both competitions.

The final list of clubs that will participate in the Euroleague and Eurocup will be formalised at the ECA Shareholders Meeting on July 8, 2015 in Barcelona.
