After two difficult years in Houston, John Wall signed with the Clippers with hopes of reviving his career. The five-time NBA All-Star sat out the entire last season, but is now looking to be a starter in Los Angeles.

His close friend and former teammate at Kentucky, DeMarcus Cousins, is happy for the 31-year-old point guard, saying that is a great situation for him.

“John Wall that’s like a brother to me, he was the best man at my wedding,” the center said. “I think this is the perfect opportunity in the point of the career he’s in.

“You have your ups and downs in your career, you start getting these labels, you start getting these reputations, and whatever whatever. But one thing about it, it can always clear when you add winning.

“The team is incredible. Great coach in Ty Lue. He’s in a first-class organization. Ballmer is an incredible owner. I just think he’s in a perfect situation to take his career to the next level. Get it back on track to where his name is in a positive light. I think he takes that team to another level. Playing with Kawhi [Leonard] and PG [Paul George]. They got a wop, bro.”
