Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets have agreed to ink a five-year, $264 million super-max contract extension (h/t Shams Charania of The Athletic).
The deal is being projected as the richest contract in NBA history.
Jokic is off from a legendary back-to-back MVP run for the Nuggets, averaging 26.7 points on 57.5 percent shooting, 12.3 rebounds and 8.1 assists from the last two seasons.
With Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. expected to be finally back, Denver is being assumed to rejoin the mix of the league’s title contenders next season.
