Celtics stars Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are known for being great offensive players, but they are also making an effort on the defensive end instead of just being focused solely on scoring.

Ahead of Game 4 of the NBA Finals Brown was asked about him and Tatum played lock down defense and how it impacts the whole team.

“It’s who we are. It’s who we’ve been,” Brown said. “Play both sides of the ball. Everybody on our team sets the tone from the top to the bottom. When you step on that court you better bring it on both ends of the ball.

“It sends messages to everybody to Payton [Pritchard], to Grant [Williams], to Aaron [Nesmith], whoever’s coming into the game. We hold each other accountable.

“I’m not in and obviously me and Jayson [Tatum] being here for a large majority of the time it just sets the whole wavelength for everybody, like, if we doing it, everybody got to do it. So, we’ve been doing it all season, we’ve been guarding on both ends of the ball. We just got to keep doing that.”
