Ime Udoka has led the Celtics to the NBA Finals in his debut year as a head coach. Boston’s star Jayson Tatum was asked by the media ahead of Game 4 how Udoka’s, who ‘never gets too high, never gets too low,’ approach helped the team this season.

The 24-year-old small forward revealed that the head coach gets heated during the games and cusses the players a lot. At the same time, he said that Udoka believed in his players even when they were struggling earlier this season.

“Never gets too high?” Tatum said. “I don’t know if y’all see, he cuss us out a lot. But I guess it’s warranted during the games. He always has … for when we were winning when we were in the 11th seed, he still had the same belief in us, in this group that we could get it done. So, that’s always something I’ve admired and appreciated about him.”
