Carlos Arroyo announced his departure from the Galatasaray due to a dispute over his payments last month and he made his debut in the Puerto Rican league for Cangrejeros de Santurce on Thursday.
Arroyo returned to the country and his former team again and played his first game against Leones de Ponce. He struggled with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists in 31 minutes, 26 seconds.
But despite that, Santurce beat Ponce 66-63 on road.
Bryan Conklin led the winners with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Angel Vassalo added 19 points 7 rebounds and 5 assists but it wasn’t enough for Leones de Ponce.
