Devin Booker went off for 28 points as the Suns thrashed the Mavericks (110-80) in Game 5 of the second round series. It was a tight contest before Phoenix went on a massive run in the third quarter, winning it 33-14, and finishing the job in the final period.

After the game Suns head coach Monty Williams praised Booker for his shot-making ability. “There were few times in pick and roll where he would get into a spot, raise up. Book has shot-making ability that’s unique to very few people,” he said.

“In those moments when we need him to settle us down, sometimes it’s scoring that can settle you down. It allows you to set your defense and you’re not turning the ball over.”

The Suns are one win away from advancing to the Western Conference Finals while the Mavs must now win Game 6 in order to survive in this series.
