Stephen A. Smith explained how the Phoenix Suns, and Chris Paul in particular, took advantage of poor defense by Luka Doncic in Game 2 of the second round series.

“They were picking on Luka Doncic. That’s what the Phoenix Suns were doing,” Smith said on First Take. “They were saying ‘Who he guarding?’ and he had the nerve to be on CP, CP like ‘Let me show y’all what I’ma do to this brother.’

“And as great as Luka is, and my God he is a great offensive player. He ain’t nothing close to great or good defensively. That’s the element of his game that even Jason Kidd knows he’s got to work on.

“And CP3 abused him. And abuse the Dallas Mavericks and looked over at their bench and was like ‘Y’all, did y’all remember who did y’all forget who the hell you dealing with?’ And I mean everything – pull up jumpers, spin moves, dribble drop, penetrate… I mean this brother is going to be 37 years of age this Friday and he is the greatest pure point guard on the planet right now.”
