The Philadelphia 76ers will have to deal without their best player Joel Embiid for the nearest future after the MVP candidate suffered an orbital fracture in Game 6 against the Toronto Raptors.

There is no timetable for his return. It is expected that the Cameroonian center will miss at least some of the second round games against the Miami Heat, the first seed in the Eastern Conference.

Sports analyst Stephen A. Smith was disappointed with the injury, saying that he wants to see Embiid showcase his talents on the court.

“I want Joel Embiid on the court, I want him balling, I want him to put his greatness on display as I want for everybody. That’s what I wanna see,” Smith said. “If you great and you can ball, I want you out there so we can see your greatness put on display.”
