The Rio Grande Valley Vipers defeated the Delaware Blue Coats in the 2022 NBA G League Finals last week, going 2-0 in a best out of three title series. Houston Rockets two way player Trevelin Queen averaged 34.0 PPG/8.0 RPG/3.5 APG/1.5 SPG and earned himself Finals MVP honors, but that wasn’t the only award Queen took home this season. He also earned the G League’s regular season MVP award, made All G League First Team, and achieved All G League Defensive Team.

When it comes to getting it done on both ends, I can’t think of another G League player who deserves a full time NBA rotation spot more than Queen. The 25-year-old was actually with the Lakers during training camp/preseason before getting waived, and I think it’s safe to say that LA made a huge mistake. Just imagine the problems Queen & Austin Reaves’ quick hands could have caused on defense to go along with their efficient offensive skills.
