The overwhelming feeling of pride, basketball glory, and championship atmosphere is officially back, as the NBA will adapt once again the memorable cursive style logo of the upcoming Finals.

The association unveiled on Wednesday an updated logo of the NBA Finals, wherein the iconic font style has returned and will be used for this 75th season and possibly for the following campaigns to come.

“The NBA Finals serves as the culmination of our 75th Anniversary Season as we celebrate the league’s past, present and future,” said NBA Chief Marketing Officer Kate Jhaveri in a statement. “Highlighted by the return of our familiar Finals script font, back by popular demand, our new logo pays homage to our league’s history and looks forward to what’s ahead.”

The league utilized a print typeface from the 2017-2018 campaign until last season. From 1986-1995 and 2004-2017, different script logo variations were presented to honor the championship series.

The journey towards the prized Larry O’Brien trophy will start soon, as the NBA Playoffs are scheduled to tip off on Saturday.
