NBA teams sometimes choose to rest their stars in order to avoid injuries and give them more time to recover. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has a suggestion that could solve this problem.

According to him the key is reducing the number of regular season games. Kerr says that it would give the star players more time to rest and there would be less motivation for teams to rest them.

“To me what makes the most sense is cutting back to maybe a 72 game schedule. Take 10 games off, and get more time to rest in between games. I think you’ll get teams to play their guys more often,” Kerr said, per Mark Haynes.
