Free agent forward John Collins has agreed to a three-year, $51 million contract with the Detroit Pistons, according to ESPN.

Detroit identified Collins as its top offseason target to fill the starting power forward position.

The athletic forward is expected to give the Pistons another frontcourt scoring option while providing Cade Cunningham with a reliable lob threat.

The agreement was finalized by Pistons executives with Collins’ agents, Sean Kennedy and Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management, adding an experienced veteran to Detroit’s projected starting lineup.
