According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Los Angeles Lakers have signed two-way power forward Wenyen Gabriel to a new standard NBA contract.

The 25-year-old player occupied the empty roster spot created by waiving veteran forward Trevor Ariza.

Gabriel originally signed a two-way contract with LAL on March 1, 2022, and has appeared in 17 games (four starts) for the Lakers this season, averaging 5.7 points and 3.8 rebounds in 14.6 minutes.
