Wenyen Gabriel, who recently signed with the Celtics, is reportedly being waived by the team, as confirmed by NBA insider Shams Charania. The forward previously spent the 2022-23 season with the Lakers.

During his time with the Lakers, Gabriel played in 68 games, maintaining averages of 5.5 points and 4.2 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game.

In the recent FIBA World Cup, Gabriel represented the South Sudan national team, contributing significantly with 9.2 points and 6.8 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per game.

His efforts helped the team secure a commendable 17th place finish and a ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
