Ex-Laker Wenyen Gabriel has signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv for the upcoming season. His contract with Maccabi includes an option for an additional year.
The forward-center brings NBA experience to Maccabi, having played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, among other teams.
Gabriel has dual citizenship in the United States and South Sudan, whom he represents internationally. He played for South Sudan at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, becoming the tournaments top shot blocker.
The 27-year-old forward has played a total of 150 games in the NBA, averaging 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 12.9 minutes per game.
