Former NBA star Tim Hardaway, who spent 14 years in the league with 5 different teams, has been selected for the enshrinement in the Hall of Fame.

The five-time All-Star and Olympic Gold medalist revealed that he was scared to answer the call which was going to announce the news to him.

“I’ve been through this before for about three or four times. I was scared to answer the phone, to tell you the truth,” Hardaway said. “I was shaking because I just didn’t want to hear them say again ‘You didn’t have enough votes.’

“I answered the phone and when he said ‘I got some really good news for you this time.’ I just started crying and went upstairs, told my wife and got all goose bumps and we just shared a moment with each other. That’s how it was.”
