There is a chance that the Lakers will have Anthony Davis suit up for them this year if they make it to the playoffs. According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the 29-year-old forward continues his recovery from a foot injury but will likely be ready to go only for the postseason.

“Anthony Davis is making progress on that mid-foot sprain that has kept him out since February 16th,” Woj started, per Paolo Songco of ClutchPoints. “His walking boot is off and I’m told this week the next step now for him is he’ll get on the court to do some stationary shooting.

“With 16 games left for the Lakers and the toughest schedule left in the league, the expectation is that they can still hang on to the play-in, get in the postseason and they could have Anthony Davis back.”

This season Davis is averaging 23.1 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 35.1 minutes per game. The Lakers are three games above the elimination but will have to work hard to remain in the play-in zone as the schedule gets tough.
