The coaching staff of the Los Angeles Lakers, especially head coach Frank Vogel, has been receiving criticism for the disappointing performance of the team.

Vogel’s assistant Phil Handy, who was on three different championship teams, took to social media to stand up for the Lakers coaching staff. “Until you sit in a real coaches seat at this level respect what we do,” Handy wrote on his Instagram story.

“Easy for you and others to sit on the couch and coach like it’s 2K. I’m done with all the disrespect coming from folks who have never coached. We get paid for a reason.”

Los Angeles is currently sitting in the ninth place in the Western Conference with 27 wins and 31 losses.
