Boston Celtics could pursue a Dennis Schroder trade before the trade deadline, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The veteran guard is under an one-year, $5,8M contract with the Celtics. The franchise believes his performances have elevated his trade value. Schroder is among the team’s best players this season, along with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

“Rival teams expect the Celtics to be open to talks around guard Dennis Schroder, who inked a one-year deal with Boston in the offseason but has had a strong season that likely prices him out of a potential re-signing.

Schroder is averaging 17.5 points, 4.9 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game this season,” Charania reports. Boston is still struggling this season and is 10th in the East, with a 13-14 record.
