The eldest son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James had a chance to show his skills on the big stage. Bronny James and his Sierra Canyon hosted his father’s alma mater St. Vincent-St. Mary at Staples Center.

Bronny, who turned 17 this past October, led his team to a victory (71-53) with 19 points as LeBron watched his son’s performance from the sideline.

After the game, Bronny revealed what his father told him following the win.

“It felt special playing on the same court as he’s played,” Bronny James said of his father after the win. “I’m getting a lot of confidence from that, and it was a really special game for me. Afterwards, he just said he liked everything I was doing, with my poise and my pace for the game.”
