FC Barcelona head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius was furious with his players after the home loss to Baskonia on Sunday night (78-91).

The Lithuanian coach didn’t like what he saw from his players in the entire game and called them out for their performance on both ends.

“In the regular season, you fight for the home-court advantage. We are in December and some players are still in vacation mood, while others don’t play at the same high standards every night.

If you are not here to play every 48 hours, then you need to join another team. We are struggling and need to be mentally ready,” Jasikevicius told reporters afterwards.

The hosts trailed from start to finish and never managed to turn things around, suffering a painful home loss. Following their defeat, FC Barcelona dropped to second in the ACB standings, with a 10-2 record. Real Madrid is on top with an 11-1 record. For their part, Baskonia improved to 6-6.

FC Barcelona and Real will face each other in the EuroLeague on Friday (10/12), with the two giants being tied on top with an 11-2 record.
