Golden State Warriors are the best team in the league, even without Klay Thompson, who is still recovering from injury. However, they may have their superstar available soon.

Thompson is reportedly 5-6 weeks away from making his highly anticipated return to the court, per NBA reporter Jordan Schultz.

The Warriors’ superstar is making “steady progress” toward a return, and he is in “great shape”, according to Schultz. Thompson missed the last two seasons due to multiple long-term injuries.

Thompson missed the entire 2019-20 season with a torn ACL, which he suffered during Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. He also missed the 2020-21 season with a torn Achilles suffered during an offseason workout.

Despite the absence of Thompson and sophomore center James Wiseman, the Warriors are in a roll starting the year with an 11-1 record, the best in the Western Conference.
