Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young was given a fine of $15,000 by the NBA for initiating a contact against a game official.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania released the announcement.

In Hawks’ last game defeat to the Washington Wizards, the disgruntled Young, who only had an inconsistent 16 markers, expressed his frustration on the league’s new foul rule on offensive players.

“There’s a lot of missed calls. It’s basketball. It’s just, it feels that they’re learning, and they’re just — I don’t know. It’s frustrating.”

The star point man also had a technical foul during the 2nd period of the said match — which is the possible basis of the monetary punishment.
