The Los Angeles Lakers are yet to make a final decision on who the team’s two two-way players will be. Most recently, the team waived Joel Ayayi, who was on a two-way deal. Another player with such contract is Sekou Doumbaya.

According to Lakers head coach Frank Vogel, the team will not rush to decide on who should take the two spots. The preferred choice, though, would be a big and a small player.

“We’re going to give it some time. I don’t know exactly how much,” Vogel said. “We’re going to continue to evaluate what’s out there. But we’re not moving on it today. We’re hopeful that Joel [Ayayi] rejoins us with [South Bay Lakers] if he clears waivers. Same with those other guys. So we’re just really looking for probably the best player.

“Ideal situation you get a big and small. But it’s not necessarily.. we want to get the two best players that we can, guys can fill in and help us if we injuries.”
