Kyrie Irving is listed as ineligible to play for the Brooklyn Nets ahead of the preseason game against the reigning NBA champions Milwaukee Bucks.

This is another strong indication that the Nets’ superstar has not yet met New York’s vaccination requirement. He practiced with the Nets last week when they held their training camp in San Diego.

Irving cannot participate in the team’s practices at home due to the citywide mandate, which requires him to take at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Unless Irving is vaccinated, he would have to miss the Nets’ 41 home games and their two road games against the New York Knicks. The NBA has said he wouldn’t be paid for any of those games.
