Telekom Baskets Bonn came back from 14 points down in the fourth quarter and Skyler Bowlin made the game-winning three-pointer, with 5.5 seconds left, in a 76-73 home victory over Ratiopharm Ulm.

Bowlin hit a career-high eight threes to lead Bonn to its second win in the 2021-22 regular season. Bowlin finished the game with 27 points, while Parker-Jackson Cartwright followed him with 16 points and five assists.

Niners Chemnitz pulled off their second surprise victory as they defeated Hamburg Towers 90-82 on the road, thanks to their veterans Frantz Massenat and Darion Atkins stepping up in crunch time.

Atkins had 17 points and nine rebounds to lead his team in both categories, while Massenat finished the contest with 10 points and nine assists for the Niners.

Newcomers in the German BBL MLP Academics Heidelberg stunned Riesen Ludwigsburg with a 73-67 win in front of its fans. Jordan Geist had a great game for the winning side with 24 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

This was the second win in the league for Branislav Ignjatovic’s side, which makes its first appearance in the German top-tier league in 36 years.
