It seems that Frank Vogel will have to get used to media constantly bringing up the topic of the age of the Los Angeles Lakers players. The team got significantly older by signing a whole bunch of veterans.
Almost all of the Lakers newcomers are 32-years-old or older, most of them are in their mid 30’s. Despite the talks about the team being old, Vogel thinks that the players’ age is not an issue.
“I’m not asked, I’m told that we’re old…” Vogel laughed on Spectrum SportsNet. “I don’t really like the narrative. These guys can play. We have great players on our team, you know what I mean? Yes, some of them are towards the end of their career but they’re still producing at a high level. And if you’re still producing at a high level, it doesn’t matter how old you are.
“I don’t really care for the narrative. Some guys are gonna use it as a motivation. I just think we got a good team that has a chance to be great if we come together. That’s how I look at it.”
