Ben Simmons will likely get traded in the next few days, as he officially requested a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers. Although Simmons wants out, there hasn’t been any trade offers that have materialized yet.

Several rumors have surfaced suggesting that various NBA teams are into the Simmons’ stakes. Simmons did not want to return to Philadelphia, and he to be moved immediately.

Embiid took to Twitter Wednesday morning to refute a report in which it detailed a “rift” between Embiid and Simmons, forcing the Sixers to choose a side.

Embiid continued his statement on Twitter by defending Simmons, who was booed after and during the series vs. the Atlanta Hawks.

“I haven’t forgotten but 2 years ago, I got booed, people in Philly wanted me to be traded,” Embiid posted. “I even shushed them. Only the real ones didn’t but I just put the work in that offseason to be better cuz I knew I wasn’t playing up to my potential. Philly fans, y’all also gotta be better.”

He then clarified his comment by saying that not everyone is built to face a situation like this the same way. The situation in Philly is murky, and we’ll have to wait to see if the Sixers are willing to grant Simmons’ trade request now.
