Los Angeles Lakers are not expected to bring back Jared Dudley for a third season, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.

The Lakers are in search for three more players with the intention of leaving a spot open to bring players into training camp to fight for a place in their roster.

In that case, Dudley is unlikely to play his third consecutive season in ‘purple and gold’, as Haynes stated. The forward was a crucial veteran presence for the Lakers during the last two years.

“…with the intention of signing two more players and leaving a roster spot open, it means Jared Dudley’s two-year tenure with the organization will likely come to an end,” Haynes wrote.

The Lakers have been one of the most active teams in offseason, acquiring Westbrook, Malik Monk, Kent Bazemore, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Carmelo Anthony, Kendrick Nunn and Dwight Howard.
