Georgios Kalaitzakis will immediately join the Milwaukee Bucks, as Eurohoops reports. The NBA champions selected Panathinaikos’ guard as the 60th pick of the 2021 NBA Draft.

Kalaitzakis will leave the ‘Greens’ after five years. He is expected to participate in the NBA Summer League before signing his rookie contract with the NBA champions.

The four-time Greek League champion averaged 3.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 12 minutes throughout 11 games this past season. He also made his debut in EuroLeague, averaging 1.6 points per four minutes in 14 contests.

The Bucks are not expected to make a big splash this offseason after winning the NBA title for the first time in 50 years this past season.

Last season, Kalaitzakis played at the highest level of European basketball, and now, he has the chance to find his way to the NBA in a ‘winning environment’ like the Milwaukee Bucks.
