Slovenia and Luca Doncic made an incredible Olympic debut, cruising past Argentina with an 100-118 victory. Luca Doncic exploded for 48 points, leading his team to its first-ever win in an Olympic Tournament.

The Dallas Mavericks superstar scored 31 first-half points as the Slovenian national team took a 20-point lead at halftime (42-62).

Aleksanter Seculic’s team maintained its lead in the second half, with Slovenia cruising to the victory until the end of the regulation.

Doncic finished the contest with 18 of 29 shooting, five assists, 11 rebounds and three blocks to round up a 48-point game debut in the Olympics.

Klemen Prepelic followed the Mavs’ superstar with 22 points, while Mike Tobey had 11 points and 14 rebounds. As for Argentina, veteran big Luis Scola finished with a team-high 23 points, while Facundo Campazzo added 22 points.

Slovenia is set to face Japan on Thursday in Saitama Super Arena, while Argentina will try to remain alive in the tournament facing Spain.
