Winning basketball games for the historic New York Knicks franchise comes with high praise and recognition, but when you’re losing, the pain can be the worst feeling in the NBA.

Former Knicks Jamal Crawford and Quentin Richardson say they remember the losses getting so bad that head coach Isiah Thomas walked home in the snow from the airport after a tough road loss.

(Via Knuckleheads with Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles):

Jamal Crawford: “Do you remember the time when we lost a game we should have won and Isiah was walking home in the snow from the airport?”

Quentin Richardson: “Nate Robinson said, ‘I just saw Zeke walking. I pulled over and asked if he wanted a ride, and he just looked at me.’ So, Nate just pulled off.”

Jamal Crawford: “He was walking so slow. Then the next day at practice, it looked like he hadn’t slept from the night before. It looked like he brushed his hair backwards.”
