Lloyd Pierce is very close to joining the Indiana Pacers as the top assistant of head coach Rick Carlisle.
Pierce is finalizing a deal with the team in order to become part of the coaching staff, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Coach Pierce was fired by the Atlanta Hawks prior to the All-Star break after a horrendous start to the season.
