The future of Dennis Schroder remains uncertain. After completing a season with the Los Angeles Lakers, the 27-year-old point guard is set to become an unrestricted free agent.

Even though Schroder expressed his desire to return to the Lakers, it remains to be seen where he will continue his career. Sports journalist Marc Berman wrote a piece on potential point guard choices for the New York Knicks and included Schroder in the list. However, not everyone in the league sees him as a first choice point guard.

“I like Schroeder, but don’t like him running the team as No. 1 point guard,” an NBA scout said, per Marc Berman of New York Post. “I question his leadership and shooting.”

This past season Schroder averaged 15.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game for the Lakers.
