Unfortunately, injuries are having a huge impact in the NBA postseason, as multiple superstar forced to miss significant time.

After the latest news on Kawhi Leonard sitting out indefinitely, LeBron James criticized NBA for the short offseason between the 2019-2020 and the 2020-21 season campaign.

A few hours later, Mike Bass, an NBA spokesperson, responded to the Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar criticism regarding this season’s injuries.

“Injury rates were virtually the same this season as they were during 2019-20 while starter-level and All-Star players missed games due to injury at similar rates as the last three seasons,” Bass said, per Marc Stein of the New York Times.

“While injuries are an unfortunate reality of our game, we recognize the enormous sacrifices NBA players and teams have made to play through this pandemic.”
