Minnesota Timberwolves and Charlotte Hornets are reportedly interested in trading for Indiana’s Myles Turner, J. Michael of the Indy Star reports.
Both teams finished their season early and they are looking to bolster their frontcourt by adding rim-protection and shooting.
Turner was one of the leading players in blocks per contest this season averaging a career-high 3.4 blocks in 47 games with the Indiana Pacers.
The Pacers are reportedly ready to part ways with head coach Nate Bjorkgren after a disappointing 2020-21 season campaign.
The Hornets overachieved with LaMelo Ball taking the league by storm in his rookie season. However, Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo are going to be free agents in the offseason and Turner replacing them will be an upgrade in center position.
The Timberwolves were one of the worst teams in defending the paint this year and Turner’s ability to block and deflect shots will be a great addition alongside Karl Anthony-Towns.
