Los Angeles Lakers will have to make several important decisions in the offseason. For now, the LA franchise is focused on winning another championship as they are preparing to face the Suns for Game 5 of the playoff opening round series.

Yet, Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report navigated through the Lakers potential offseason moves as several NBA executives are expecting for the team to shake their roster if they did not manage to reach the Finals.

However, Alex Caruso might be among the players to return. Once Caruso’s contract expires at the end of the season, he’ll be an unrestricted free agent, and the Lakers’ guard is expected to draw interest after two successful seasons in LA.

“Alex Caruso will also become an unrestricted free agent this summer. League executives polled by B/R suggested the point guard could command upwards of $12 million in average annual value, a similar number that restricted free agent Talen Horton-Tucker may also command for an offer sheet. Although there is a sense among Lakers officials that Caruso has relished supporting James and has an interest in staying in Los Angeles to compete alongside the four-time MVP.”

The Lakers are expected to have an interesting offseason with Caruso, Tucker and Dennis Schröder becoming free agents. Regardless of what will happen this year in the postseason, the Lakers are definitely going to build a championship caliber team with James and Davis in the team.

It only remains to be seen how their 2021 postseason run could change their plans for the offseason this summer.
