Trae Young exploded with 32 points in Game 1 between the New York Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks, helping his side take the win. The 22-year-old guard also earned himself a villain status at Madison Square Garden for his behavior during the game and thereafter.
Knicks guard Derrick Rose did not seem to be bothered by Young’s trash talking as he considers it part of the game. However, he expects Game 2 to be tougher for Young.
“You want to talk sh*t, talk sh*t — it’s alright. But next game, it’s going to be tougher,” Rose said. “The environment is going to create a great atmosphere for some great basketball.”
