Actor Don Cheadle has confirmed that Michael Jordan is in the upcoming Space Jam sequel, Space Jam: A New Legacy.

MJ starred in the 1996 original as himself but LeBron James will be center stage in the inbound second part, alongside Cheadle, who plays a villainous computer algorithm. The actor recently appeared on Access Hollywood and would confirm Jordan’s involvement (just around the 9:00 minute mark), adding “but not in the way you’d expect it.”

This leaves us wondering just what Jordan’s role is supposed to be. We just have to wait until the sequel launches on July 16.
