NBA legend Julius Erving named his two all-time teams, leaving out LeBron James. The First Team included Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain. Meanwhile, the Second Team was made of Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Dr. J explained the decision to not include LeBron in his teams by the fact that he was part of super teams everywhere he played. According to sports analyst Shannon Sharpe, such argument is not valid as Erving’s First Team had three players from a super team.

“Dr. J is old school. He had 3 guys from 1 team that was a super team: West, Elgin and Wilt. Super teams have been around, LeBron just started the notion of player empowerment,” Sharpe said on UNDISPUTED.
