Sports analyst Skip Bayless thinks that the hype surrounding the arrival of Andre Drummond to the Los Angeles Lakers is getting over the top.
The co-host of UNDISPUTED shared this reaction after seeing the team’s owner Jeanie Buss share a picture of herself and Drummond as well as the one including her late father Jerry and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the same Instagram post.
“Thanks to the @lakers fan who posted this picture of my dad and Kareem @kareemabduljabbar_33 I don’t remember ever seeing this until now. Familiarity was in the air. #GoLakers” she wrote on her post.
According to Bayless, such comparison was too much as he went on to point out the differences between Abdul-Jabbar and Drummond. He has previously said that LaMarcus Aldridge would have been a better signing that Drummond.
“If Jeanie Buss has the audacity to post pictures comparing her father welcoming Kareem to her welcoming Andre Drummond, it’s going to scream ‘I got my Kareem!’ Dre mania is outrageous,” he said on UNDISPUTED.
