Austin Rivers has officially become a free agent after the Oklahoma City Thunder bought out his contract for the rest of the season.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Milwaukee Bucks are considered the favorite to sign the veteran guard once he clears waivers.

Rivers started the season with the New York Knicks, but he was traded to OKC during the trade deadline in a multiteam deal that included several players.

The 28-year-old guard played in 21 games so far this season averaging 7.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest.
